European paper wasps (Polistes dominula) working on a nest,
above a garage door in West Lafayette . I noticed the nest when I opened the garage
door and an insect tried to sting me on the neck. I looked up and saw this nest. At first I thought they were yellow jackets
until I did some web searching and found they were European paper wasps. If you look close you can see an egg in each
of three cells on the upper right.
